This is not a drill: summer is here and London is truly and well alive. The arrival of warmer evenings brings visitors from around the world to the capital, and this weekend’s club nights are a colourful mix of some of Europe’s best selectors and hometown heroes.

From UKG all-stars to heady techno selectors, there’s plenty to explore once the pints have hit and the sweltering sun goes down. These are London’s best club nights.

Mic Masters & Grime Originals

Mic Masters & Grime Originals, June 2

A celebration of emceeing and vocal artistry, showcasing exceptional talents on the mic and the best grime DJs on the scene. Dubbed the Mic Masters arena, Room 1 boasts electrifying live sets by Harry Shotta, Eskman, Shabba D and more. Grime Originals are in control in Room 2 with Grandmixer, Teddy Music, 1XTRA presenter and "grime ambassador" Sian Anderson, while Room 3 showcases future mic masters and emerging artists destined to make their mark in the industry.

Prunk - Mood II Swing and Kellie Allen, June 2

This Friday night at E1, it’s all about good old house music. The line-up spans artists from around the world: pioneering house duo Mood II Swing, Ibiza-via-London producer Kellie Allen, Berlin’s GHEIST, and Slovenia’s Brina Knauss are sure to bring the house down with soulful grooves and pumping basslines in the spirit of the White Isle.

Artful Dodger And Friends Presents, June 2

Weird Science, XOYO’s weekly Friday party dedicated to UK bass invites none other than UK garage heros Artful Dodger to curate a lineup of friends – and it’s a big one. From So Solid Crew’s Lisa Maffia to Public Demand affiliate MC Kie, it’s a London legends meetup for the ages. Plus, hot off the heels of his set at fabric Shabba D whizzes over for a jungle set with Micky Finn.

Warmer People X Dure Vie 10 years, June 2

Due Vie, one of the most established electronic music brands in France, touches down in London for their 10th anniversary. for a night of booming techno and melodic house. Parisian all-stars like Badaboum resident Belaria and Mama told ya boss Anetha are sure to keep the crowd locked with booming techno, while a b2b between Aika Mal and Tañ adds some breaky UK flavour.

Re-sistance 006, June 3

FOLD is notoriously tight-lipped about their line-ups, and for good reason. The Canning Town institution is all about doing things differently: experience over hype. While we can’t reveal who’ll play this sixth installment of their Re-sistance series, it’s safe to say clubbers can expect colossal techno and thundering breaks on one of London’s best sound systems with a distinguished crowd. Ignez - Anahita Shamsaei - Donna And Kyle E, June 3

Amsterdam rave selector Ignez, London-via-Tehran DJ Anahita Shamsaei, Donna and Kyle E whip up a night for true techno devotees who like to dance until the early morning hours at Egg.

Acid Pauli - Rebolledo - Britta Arnold - Curses - Parallelle - Zombies In Miami, June 3

German rave veteran Acid Pauli returns to fabric for his first set in over a year, offering his versatile skills to command the dance floor with a blend of genres that transcend house and techno.

Elsewhere, Kompakt’s Rebolledo will bring his signature psychedelic beats to Room 2, while Curses weaves a thread between dark wave and techno. Zombies In Miami bring a lighter touch too, blending disco, house, and techno.

For the experimental-leaning fans of electronic music, Transistor and Kabinett will hold it down in Room 3.

Mighty Hoopla 2023, June 3-4

Each year, some of music’s most iconic celebs gather in Brockwell Park for the Mighty Hoopla festival. With headlining slots by none other than Róisín Murphy, Sophie Ellis-Bexter, and Kelly Rowland, this year’s lineup does not disappoint. But beyond the main stage, the festival’s club acts are just as worthy of your attention. BBC Radio 1 host Jaguar, Parisian ballroom legend Kiddy Smile, up-and-coming superstar DJ Lexii and Krystal Klear are only a few highlight DJs ready to keep the party rocking until sundown.
